Classes

The lycée in the French system consists of 3 years which are focused on preparation for the final Baccalauréat exam.

  • 2nde – 10th grade
  • 1ère – 11th grade
  • Terminale – 12th grade

The French Baccalauréat is a globally recognized diploma widely accepted for entrance into higher education institutions worldwide.  We have a 100% pass rate for several years now and our alumni have joined universities all over Europe.

Our Story

From 1ère onwards, high school students choose a pathway with specialised subjects : History-geography, Geopolitics and political science, Humanities, Literature and philosophy, Foreign languages, Literature and culture (English or Spanish or German or Italian), Mathematics, Digital and computer sciences, Physics and chemistry, Life and Earth Sciences, Engineering sciences, Economic and Social Sciences.

Bac is a diploma that values regularity of work (continuous assessment) and performance (final exams). These requirements prepare students to be rigorous and organised in their future professional lives. Studying at a French Lycée also allows students to immerse themselves in a rich intellectual, artistic and cultural tradition. The literature, history and philosophy taught in the curriculum are pillars of Western thought and of a harmonious self-construction.

The high school students follow their courses at our second site, located on the premises of the Goethe Institute in Mirje. Here they develop greater independence and a sense of responsibility, qualities that will be particularly useful in their future lives as university students. Our high school teaching team works in partnership with the CNED (Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance).

And after baccalaureate

Our secondary school students benefit from a personalised programme to help them find their path to university studies in France and abroad. During their final year of high school, they apply on the official platform for access to French higher education, Parcoursup. We also have a partnership with Campus France, for students who need to obtain a student visa.

Knowledge needed

Students must have a good mastery of the French language to be admitted to the lycée, and this can only take place during September.
